Atbang. Atbang! Why Atbang? What does it mean? Well, in Visayan (the language of the central Philippines), Atbang means 'opposite'. For us, it's a great name because it exemplifies what we are and how we do things - i.e differently. We are not mainstream. We don't go with the flow. We aim to be better.
Read our business ethics

Atbang Farm Food Forest is a permaculture-inspired farm located in a lush area of Calape in Bohol, a beautiful island in the central Philippines.
Our farm prioritises caring, respecting, and learning with nature. We keep our soil healthy because we believe it nurtures our food, which in turn nurtures our health. Consequently, we don't depend on expensive and commercial agricultural chemicals. We follow a simple, easy, scientific, and effective way of farming, and live sustainably employing local farmers, especially women.
To be an ethical producer of Boholano products.
As well as supporting communities, we are passionate about maintaining a transparent approach to farming and premium quality chocolate-making.

"In the heart of Bohol, Efrenia Cantoneros-Holt didn’t just start a farm—she built a sustainable movement. From organic cacao to ethical chocolates ATBANG Farm thrives on women empowerment, fair wages and earth-friendly practices.
What began as a small initiative rooted in sustainability has grown into a thriving business that began with a small revenue that significantly increased in 2024. Through regenerative farming, Efrenia ensures that every cacao pod harvested is a step toward a more sustainable and ethical future.
Her journey proves that success in agriculture is not about cutting corners but about investing in people, communities, and the planet. ATBANG Farm continues to challenge conventional farming methods, leading the way for sustainable and ethical agriculture in the Philippines."

As we are organic in our agricultural processes, we are strictly organic in the way our business operates. Honesty is important to us, so the deals we make will not involve 'incentives' or 'sweeteners' or 'backhanders', because practices such as these perpetuate the culture of corruption, which we deplore. We hope other small, growing organisations will join us in demonstrating there is a different and better way of doing business.
